Noise Surveys
We can undertake environmental noise surveys, operational noise surveys and demolition, piling & construction noise monitoring. These may be either short term fully manned surveys or long term automated surveys at one or multiple positions.
Noise Mapping
We can produce noise maps for any existing/proposed transportation or industrial noise sources upon existing/proposed developments. Noise mapping can help to determine the potential effectiveness of site layout options and acoustic barriers prior to their implementation.
Impact Assessments
We can provide impact assessments to support the planning application or discharge existing planning conditions. This can include impacts upon the proposed development and upon the surrounding environment.
Sound Testing
We can undertake both preliminary sound insulation testing for information purposes and pre-completion sound insulation testing for Building Regulations Approved Document E including airborne and impact sound insulation testing along with indoor ambient noise level, building services noise and reverberation time testing.
Architectural Acoustics
We can assess airborne sound insulation, impact sound insulation, external building fabric, internal separation, acoustic privacy, reverberation time, ambient noise levels, absorptive treatment, floating floors, acoustic linings, mass barrier ceilings, secondary glazing, acoustic baffles in accordance with BS 8233 and BREEAM Hea 05.
Building Services Acoustics
We can assess all aspects of building services including atmospheric noise emissions, indoor ambient noise levels, plantroom breakout, ductborne noise, crosstalk attenuators, generators, condenser units, dry air coolers, AHUs, extract fans, pumps, booster sets, fan coil units, heat pumps, silencers, acoustic louvres, acoustic screens in accordance with BS 4142 and BREEAM Pol 05.
Vibration Assessments
We can undertake vibration measurements of machinery / transportation / demolition / piling / construction and undertake vibration / re-radiated noise assessments in accordance with BS 6472, BS 5228 along with the specification of vibration isolation measures.
Noise at Work
We can visit your workplace to undertake bespoke noise at work assessments which will enable appropriate noise control and hearing protection measures to be proposed in line with The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
Expert Witness
Our expert witness services include independent witnessing / testing, assessment of constructions / treatment and review of reports.
